Pediatric Registered Nurse
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care across specialized programs, supporting patients with complex medical, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric needs. The role delivers direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and the Texas Nurse Practice Act. It also includes comprehensive nursing assessments of patients’ medical status, behavioral presentation, communication needs, and responses to treatment, and the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized nursing care plans addressing medical, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental needs.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS certifications required within 45 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including patients’ medical status, behavioral presentation, communication needs, and responses to treatment.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans addressing medical, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental needs.
