Requirements
- Current NC RN license or NCLEX-RN eligible
- CPR certification for Healthcare Providers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in caring for children
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy pediatric practice
- Willingness to learn and grow as a nurse
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric nursing experience is a plus, but it is not required. We welcome applications from new graduate nurses who are excited to begin their careers in pediatrics.
Responsibilities
- Caring for patients from infancy through adolescence
- Administering medications and immunizations
- Assisting pediatricians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Performing nursing assessments and monitoring vital signs
- Providing telephone triage and helping families determine the appropriate next steps for their child's care
- Educating parents and caregivers about medications, treatments, illnesses, and preventive care
- Supporting children and families through procedures, illnesses, and other challenging moments
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records
- Communicating and collaborating with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
- Building relationships with patients and families and becoming a trusted part of their healthcare experience
