About The Position

Dartmouth Health Children’s and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth are seeking a board-certified or eligible Pediatric Pulmonologist to serve children and families in southern New Hampshire, in collaboration with Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Dartmouth Health Children’s offers a comprehensive system of pediatric care, including primary, specialty, and advanced tertiary services across the region. The Section of Pediatric Pulmonology provides the sole comprehensive childhood lung-health program in New Hampshire, managing conditions like asthma and operating the NH CF Center, accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The role is primarily based in Manchester, involving ambulatory practice, consults at Elliot Hospital, and remote consults to Golisano Children’s Hospital. Teaching residents and medical students is a key expectation, requiring eligibility for faculty appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine. Academic opportunities are available across Dartmouth's campuses, with strengths in biomedical research, global health, and healthcare delivery sciences at The Dartmouth Institute. Requirements

  • Board certified or eligible Pediatric Pulmonologist.
  • Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO).
  • Post graduate training in residency program.
  • Current New Hampshire Medical License.
  • Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification (to be obtained within 5 years).
  • Active hospital staff membership.
  • Eligibility for appointment to the faculty at the Geisel School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive childhood lung-health program services across New Hampshire.
  • Serve patients with asthma and other lung conditions.
  • Administer the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation accredited NH CF Center.
  • Provide consults at Elliot Hospital.
  • Provide remote consults to Golisano Children’s Hospital.
  • Engage in primarily ambulatory practice.
