About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Pediatric Psychotherapist to join the Pediatric Psychology team at One Hundred Oaks. This role involves assessing and providing brief, targeted interventions for social, emotional, and environmental issues impacting clients and families. The psychotherapist will collaborate with the medical team to achieve patient care management and system improvement goals, contributing to the plan of care with an understanding of population-specific needs. Vanderbilt Children's University Pediatrics at One Hundred Oaks focuses on building ongoing relationships to support children's medical needs from birth through adolescence, ensuring they reach their maximum potential and thrive both in school and at home. The department offers same-day access and utilizes up-to-date, evidence-based scientific information and expertise.

Requirements

  • Experience with children (required)
  • Master's degree
  • 1 year of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintains professional documentation that meets department and VUMC standards for compliance.
  • Provides brief targeted interventions for identified clients.
  • Completes psychosocial assessments and assists the team with developing the plan of care.
  • Provides education and/or consultation to clients, families, the treatment team, and the community.
  • Executes job responsibilities with an understanding of how output affects and impacts other areas related to their job area/team, with occasional guidance.
