About The Position

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine are actively seeking a pediatric psychologist to join their center. This position will be primarily outpatient and will work closely with the neurology team to treat patients diagnosed with epilepsy, PNES, and neuropsychiatric conditions. There will also be opportunities to accept referrals from other medical subspecialties within the hospital system, providing consultation, assessment, and behavioral health interventions related to coping/adjustment, physical symptom management, adherence, comorbid mood and anxiety symptoms, and other behavioral health concerns impacting care and quality of life for youth with chronic health conditions and behavioral health needs. Outpatient services will occur in co-located and integrated care clinics, in addition to the psychologist maintaining a caseload of outpatients receiving individual behavioral health treatment. This position is eligible for a faculty appointment through the Emory University School of Medicine, if desired. Rank is commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position, with a split between direct clinical care and administrative time.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA accredited program.
  • Completed an APA accredited child internship.
  • Expertise in treating children and adolescents using evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Licensed or licensed-eligible in Georgia prior to employment.
  • Must obtain board certification within hospital timelines.

Responsibilities
