Children's Mercy is seeking psychologists at all levels of experience to join their Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health. This role involves expanding access to mental and behavioral health care for youth in the region, providing care across 31+ integrated programs. The team works with youth with medical complexity within multidisciplinary teams in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience in targeted outpatient consultations, brief evidence-based interventions, pre-surgical evaluations, inpatient consultation/liaison, multidisciplinary care conferences, and targeted evaluation is desired. The division is recruiting for various specialties including Inpatient consultation/liaison, Partial hospitalization program, Allergy/Immunology-Food Allergy, Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology, Integrated Primary Care, Solid Organ Transplant, Neuropsychology, Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Surgical subspecialties, Weight Management, and assessment/consultation for youth in foster care. There are also open positions in clinical child psychology for diagnostic assessment (general, autism), ADHD and Eating Disorder clinics, and parent-management training. Additionally, clinical psychologists are needed for regional locations, including Wichita, KS. The position includes teaching in the hospital’s training programs, protected academic time for scholarly activities, and faculty mentoring. This role carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
