Pediatric Private Duty Nurse RN-LPN- Oviedo
About The Position
SabalCare is an ACHC-accredited pediatric home health and private duty nursing agency serving families throughout Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Brevard counties. We care for some of Central Florida’s most medically fragile children in the comfort of their homes. We are building a dedicated care team for a sweet infant in Oviedo who is coming home from the hospital. He has a complex congenital heart condition and a genetic syndrome, and he will need a tracheostomy and G-tube at home. We’ll provide 24/7 private-duty nursing coverage starting on or around October 29, 2026. This is a chance to make a real difference for a family during an important transition and to provide consistent, one-on-one care.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN or LPN license (or compact license)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Pediatric trach experience strongly preferred (PICU, NICU, home health, or PDN)
- G-tube experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Compassionate, dependable, and calm under pressure
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in the home according to the plan of care
- Perform tracheostomy care, including suctioning, trach site care, and emergency trach changes
- Manage G-tube feedings, medications, and site care
- Monitor cardiac and respiratory status, recognize changes, and respond appropriately
- Administer medications and document care accurately in our EMR
- Communicate with the family, the Director of Nursing, and the care team
- Support and educate the family as they learn to care for their child at home
