About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Pediatric Primary Care Physician to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. These hospitals are respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. They maintain a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The role functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients, performs complete physical exams, and interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans. The physician will order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs, complete physical exams to the extent medically necessary, and collaborate with multi-specialty colleagues. The position is responsible for all patient interactions within the area of service and may manage both acute and chronic conditions. The work schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active New York State Medical License

Responsibilities

  • Functions independently to complete history and physical data on patients
  • Performs complete physical exams
  • Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs
  • Completes physical exams to the extent of what is medically necessary in the normal course of treatment for a specific patient
  • Collaborates with multi-specialty colleagues, working as an integral part of a world-class health system
  • Responsible for all patient interactions within area of service
  • May manage both acute and chronic conditions

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $236,000 (board eligible); $241,000 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets
