About The Position

Blue Bird Day is seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinic-based Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) to join their multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment. The Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) will provide physical therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. The role fosters each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth through individualized and group therapy, implementing therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM). Collaboration with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers, and documenting progress and communicating with families are key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) license
  • Experience with children ages 2-7 years old
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs.
  • Foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth.
  • Provide individualized and group therapy.
  • Implement therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
  • Collaborate daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers.
  • Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care.
