Pediatric Physical Therapist (San Jose)
About The Position
Young Interventions, Inc. is seeking a pediatric Physical Therapist to work with infants and toddlers with or at risk of developing developmental disabilities in North Santa Clara County (San Jose, Milpitas, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, Cupertino, Mountain View, & surrounding areas). This role involves implementing personalized, family-focused treatment programs using a Routines-Based Parent Coaching Model. Therapists will conduct home visits, with the possibility of virtual sessions, and are expected to work 20+ client hours per week plus drive time. The organization is committed to improving the quality of life for young children and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate Degree in Physical Therapy from a board-approved educational institution.
- Current CA Board License.
- Hold a valid Driver's License.
- Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home-based sites throughout the day (within 30 mile radius).
- Maintain current Vehicle Insurance & Registration.
- Maintain current CPR Certification (Infant, Child & Adult).
- Have current TB.
- Knowledge of MS Office computer programs.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1-year experience working as a pediatric therapist.
- Ability to speak and read fluently in Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin.
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in Early Intervention: understanding family systems, different diagnosis, intervention strategies, Parent Coaching Model, Routines-Based Intervention Model, resources, assessments, etc.
- Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the implementation and delivery of industry standard assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits within North Santa Clara County (San Jose, Milpitas, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Los Gatos, Cupertino, Mountain View, & surrounding areas).
- Implement personalized, family-focused treatment programs.
- Utilize a Routines-Based Parent Coaching Model.
- Guide families in helping their child reach developmental milestones.
- Conduct virtual sessions when necessary due to illness or special circumstances.
- Communicate clear and concise reports.
- Attend staff meetings once a month (currently virtual, may return to in-person at Gilroy, CA office).
