We are seeking a passionate Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing pediatric team in Jacksonville, Florida. School-Based Contracts – partnering with local schools to help students maximize independence and success in the educational setting. Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) Programs – delivering skilled therapy services to medically complex children in a specialized, interdisciplinary day health center. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation services in a supportive and engaging environment. Our clinics offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), music therapy, feeding therapy, and social skills programming, allowing clinicians to collaborate across specialties and provide exceptional patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent legacy degree (MSPT/MPT/BPT) from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current Florida Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience treating the pediatric population is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and physical challenges.
  • Develop individualized plans of care and adjust interventions based on patient progress.
  • Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team members to promote functional independence and developmental success.
  • Deliver individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
  • Support children and families through engaging, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Document patient progress accurately and timely.
  • Educate caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to support continued progress.
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and child-centered therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow clinicians to deliver outstanding outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.
