About The Position

Children’s Medical Group has been providing the highest quality Pediatric care since 1947. We are comprised of 4 offices in Atlanta, Johns Creek, Decatur and Buckhead. This is a part-time position at our Buckhead location with a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule (3 days). There is also a Saturday rotation once a month from 8:30am-1:00pm.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certified.
• Ability to Multi-task efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Familiarity with computers and other office equipment.
• Basic typing and keyboard skills.
• Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy according to stated procedure.
• Properly identify patient in accordance with HIPAA.
• Label specimens immediately after drawing.
• Process specimens as soon as possible.
• Assists with restocking laboratory supplies.
• Input patient demographics and test result information into record systems.
• Answer telephone in section and respond accordingly.
• Performs additional duties as required.
