About The Position

We are looking for someone to join our Speech and Pediatric Team as a Pediatric OT! This role involves evaluating and assessing patients to determine functional abilities, developmental needs, and therapy goals. The Pediatric OT will develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, and school-related skills, utilizing appropriate therapeutic interventions and adaptive equipment. Key aspects include educating and supporting families, caregivers, and teachers, collaborating with other healthcare and educational professionals, maintaining accurate documentation, participating in quality improvement and professional development activities, and adhering to all organizational, ethical, and legal standards governing occupational therapy practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients to determine functional abilities, developmental needs, and therapy goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, play, and school-related skills.
• Utilize appropriate therapeutic interventions and adaptive equipment to enhance independence and participation.
• Educate and support families, caregivers, and teachers in strategies to promote skill development and carryover of therapy goals at home and in the community.
• Collaborate with other healthcare and educational professionals to ensure coordinated care and goal alignment.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with department policies, payer requirements, and professional standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.
• Adhere to all organizational, ethical, and legal standards governing occupational therapy practice.
