About The Position

Abbott’s nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages. The Pediatric Office Sales Specialist promotes, manages, and grows Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in office and hospital settings, including Similac and PediaSure. The territory covers Southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and the candidate should reside in Southern Massachusetts or Providence, Rhode Island. Local candidates only; relocation is not offered. Daily travel from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. is required for effective territory management, and a company car is provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Stable and proven success in sales.
• Subject matter expertise and high business acumen.
• Satisfy applicable vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of healthcare sales experience combined with clinical experience, such as experience as a Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of hospital settings, particularly pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support territory sales goals in hospital and office settings for Similac and PediaSure.
• Conduct hospital negotiations and contracting.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines, and present information in a selling environment.
• Support new product launches.
• Work with hospital departments including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units.
• Work effectively with dietitians, physicians, and nurses.
• Perform administrative duties and manage budgets.
• Work independently with initiative, autonomy, and motivation to achieve short- and long-term goals.
