About The Position

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist evaluates and assesses neonate, pediatric, and adolescent patients with neurodevelopmental and orthopedic diseases and/or disabilities to determine their level of function. The therapist develops and performs therapeutic treatment programs using age- and developmentally appropriate activities and documents findings. The role involves close communication and collaboration with medical staff and other healthcare professionals, participation in clinical education programs and departmental program development in assigned areas, and practice in accordance with the professional Code of Ethics.

Requirements

Master's or doctoral degree; graduate of an entry-level master's or doctorate program in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited college or university.
Current New Jersey State license and registration in Occupational Therapy, or eligibility for them.
Analytical ability and use of independent judgment.
Sufficient interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, parents, caregivers, students, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience, especially in Pediatric Rehabilitation.
NDT certification.

Responsibilities
