About The Position

Child’sPlay Therapy Center, part of the Cicero Therapies Family of Practices, is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their clinic in Chelsea, Alabama. They are dedicated to supporting children and their families in reaching goals and building skills in the most meaningful and motivating ways. Cicero Therapies provides comprehensive pediatric care through a collaborative team of Occupational Therapists (OT), Speech Therapists (ST), Physical Therapist (PT), ABA professionals, and Mental Health (MH) professionals. Their multidisciplinary approach ensures holistic care, allowing children to communicate, engage, and play.

Requirements

• AOTA certification and licensure to work in Alabama
• Master’s degree or OTD
• Strong collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to make frequent, data-driven decisions for meaningful and personalized progress.
• Effective and professional communication skills for education and training of caregivers

Nice To Haves

• Feeding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and yearly comprehensive assessments.
• Provide direct treatment.
• Complete effective and prompt documentation for daily notes, assessments, individual treatment plans, and progress updates.
• Participate in our mentorship network as either a mentee or mentor.
• Provide education and training for caregivers.
• Collaborate with other therapists (SLPs, PTs, OTs, MHPs).
• Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to create and maintain documentation and collect and monitor data.
• Maintain a caseload in our South Huntsville clinic.
• Work with practicum students.
