About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen Onalaska is seeking a .8 FTE Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join its established outpatient general pediatrics team. You will be joining our outpatient pediatric practice consisting of 5 Pediatricians and 4 PNPs. Emplify Health by Gundersen General Pediatrics has a second location in La Crosse, WI staffed by 5 Pediatricians and 4 PNPs. The practice provides newborn to adolescent care, pediatric care in a medical home setting, and handles well and acute care as well as chronic medical problem management. There is an opportunity to precept PNP students. The role includes monthly journal club and radiology rounds, as well as PNP meetings and section head meetings. The position rotates through weekend newborn clinic and holiday weekends, approximately 3-4 weekend mornings per year, with no call required. The care team includes an integrated behavioral health therapist, lactation consultants, pediatric RNs, pediatric medical assistants, integrated psychiatry, integrated occupational therapy, and on-site social work. Emplify Onalaska Clinic has on-site laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and numerous other primary care and specialty clinics. Emplify by Gundersen Pediatrics consists of an outpatient generalist team, several board-certified subspecialists, pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, neonatologists, pediatric emergency care, and many pediatric-specific surgical specialists. Staff enjoys a collaborative relationship with a wide range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, including a dedicated Pediatric Hospital Service, PICU, and NICU.

Requirements

Completed an accredited program
Eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations
Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician

Responsibilities

Provide pediatric care in a medical home setting
Perform well and acute care as well as chronic medical problem management
Precept PNP students
Participate in monthly journal club and radiology rounds
Attend PNP meetings and section head meetings
Rotate through weekend newborn clinic and Holiday weekends (approximately 3-4 weekend mornings per year)
Provide outreach service as part of their role in the system
Teach students, residents, fellows or clinical staff
