About The Position

Nemours is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse to join our Eisenberg Elementary New Castle county School Based Health System Team! Our school-based health APRN position is a wonderful opportunity. This role is a 0.75 FTE associate position and operates on a 10-month schedule each year. This position is responsible for: An area of specialized nursing practice, and provides direct and indirect care to patients and their families in the ambulatory, and outpatient settings with the Seaford School system The nurse practitioner will carry out the major responsibility for the student’s health care needs including evaluation, management and follow-up This role will occasionally include various additional responsibilities, such as telehealth support.

Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (PNP)
Pediatric Primary Care NP Certification required
Three years of pediatric primary care experience
Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure required
Active Delaware Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure, with prescriptive authority required
Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) if practicing in Delaware
Federal DEA registration with Office Address
Current AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification required

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect care to patients and their families in ambulatory and outpatient settings within the Seaford School system.
Carry out the major responsibility for the student’s health care needs including evaluation, management, and follow-up.
Occasionally provide telehealth support.
