About the Role At KidMed, you'll be able to make a difference every day, every patient: ● Equipment and trained support staff to accommodate patients with acute needs from birth through age 25 ● Opportunity to perform procedures: laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc. ● Ability to treat fevers from the source with work-up down to 29 days old ● Anaphylaxis treatment and respiratory distress ● Cardiac issues, chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody stools ● Genitourinary, Neurologic, Ortho, and Derm ● In-house clinic for: suction, DME, IV fluids, and blood draws, injectable meds, and lab work ● Support for our providers and their patients with direct admits, navigation of specialist referrals for same/next day follow up, and close ties with local pediatric specialists

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
• Valid license to practice as a NP/PA in the state of Virginia
• Valid DEA License (if applicable)
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

• Experience in pediatrics
• Emergency/Urgent Care experience

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures: laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc.
