The Emory + Children’s Pediatric Institute, in collaboration with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is seeking one full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist (1.0 FTE) in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology. This neuropsychologist will conduct outpatient evaluations as well as support our epilepsy team, predominantly at the Scottish Rite campus. Experience conducting epilepsy-specific assessments and procedures (pre- and post-surgical evaluations, fMRI, Wada, cortical mapping, SEEG) is highly desired. Opportunities for providing consultative services in outpatient medical clinics is also possible. The Department of Neuropsychology at Children’s is one of the largest in the Southeast region, with a team of 13 neuropsychologists, five psychometrists, and an accredited training program. The group sees patients with complex medical and neurological histories throughout development (birth to age 20) in various settings and time points, with primary referral sources including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), and Cardiology. Common diagnoses include acquired injuries, new onset illness, congenital heart disease, and neurodevelopmental and chronic neurological conditions. Access to psychometry support and opportunities for collaborative research are available. The group has an APPCN-affiliated postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology and an APA-accredited internship. Providers are involved in the supervision of trainees.
