About The Position

Our Licensed Neuropsychologist will primarily be responsible for administering psychological and neuropsychological testing to clients ages 0-18 at our outpatient clinic. Will also provide some outpatient psychotherapy (family and individual therapy) with clients and their families. Will assist Post doc fellows with neuropsych training and testing. Must possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development as well as experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. Experience with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care is preferred. Understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred. May be assigned to work with specialty populations or across several clinic locations.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited institution.
  • Training in child growth and development.
  • Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
  • Understanding of the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop outstanding leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and maintain a positive experience for all children and families.
  • Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain. (will consider Provisional License if close to licensure).
  • American Heart Association CPR must be obtained prior to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Neuropsych training.
  • Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care.
  • Prior experience working with children & families.
