About The Position

The Registered Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric/Neonatal shall be responsible to perform duties involved with the treatment, management control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system. This individual will be responsible for pediatric and neonatal therapeutic equipment and processes including intubation, ventilator management with conventional, as well as high-frequency oscillatory (HFO) ventilation, Nitric Oxide and surfactant administration. The Respiratory Therapist may assist in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and regional ground transport. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

  • Degree in Respiratory Care required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, and/or pulmonary function testing required.
  • Active ASBRT LRT required.
  • Active NBRC RRT required.
  • BLS required.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
  • Strong team leadership skills.
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven track record of successful performance.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • If credentialed after 2002, must maintain active membership status for credentials issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned.
  • Neonatal Pediatric Transport certification required if assisting with regional ground transport.
  • Ability to develop trust with leaders in the organizations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.

  • Complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
