About The Position

The Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time pediatric interventional radiologist. This role will contribute to clinical care, research, and teaching within the division, which performs a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in treating various pediatric disorders, including vascular malformations, oncologic interventions, solid organ transplants, vascular access, and drainages and biopsies. The position is based at the UNC Medical Center. A significant aspect of this role involves assisting in the planning of vascular and interventional facilities and services for the new North Carolina Children’s Hospital, slated to open in the early 2030s. This new facility will be a free-standing, independent hospital, serving as a central hub for pediatric services from both UNC and Duke University, featuring 400 inpatient beds, 100 behavioral health beds, and an ambulatory service building. This is an opportunity to be involved in planning services for North Carolina’s first free-standing children’s hospital.
