About The Position

Pediatrix Medical Group has an exciting opportunity for BC/BE pediatric intensivists to join our current group of 5 board certified Pediatric Critical Care Providers at Bon Secours/Mercy St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. Ideal candidates will be strong clinicians who work well as part of a team, adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines, and provide high quality care. This is a 6-physician practice with inhouse call, offering block scheduling with 12-hour shifts Monday-Friday and 24-hour shifts on weekends. Responsibilities include covering the 10-bed PICU with an average daily census of 7, and shared coverage of a twice-weekly sedation program. Robust sub-specialty support is available, including Peds GI, Endocrinology, Surgery, Pulmonology, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Orthopedics, and Urology. Pediatrix also provides NICU, MFM, and pediatric hospitalist services at St. Mary’s Hospital. Physicians will be part of a comprehensive care team of pediatric critical care specialists and pediatric hospitalists. Experienced providers and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
