About The Position

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a board-certified Pediatric Intensivist to join the team at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center on a per diem basis. The 12-bed PICU has an average daily census of 6–8 patients, rising to as many as 10 during winter months. The service includes a busy sedation program and provides CRRT, HFOV, and iNO. Pediatric subspecialty support is available except for neurosurgery and cardiac surgery. The affiliated pediatric hospitalist group covers the 34-bed pediatric floor. Shifts are 12 hours, and ongoing shift availability is required.

For this W-2 per diem position, Pediatrix covers malpractice insurance. Travel expenses—including round-trip airfare and rental car or mileage, plus lodging—are covered for clinicians who live outside a commutable distance. Per diem team members receive Employee Assistance benefits but are not eligible for PTO, company holidays, or other compensation.

Requirements

• Must be board certified.
• Must have an active Nevada license or be eligible for IMLC.
• Must be able to offer ongoing shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric intensive care in a 12-bed PICU.
• Participate in the busy sedation service.
• Provide care in a setting where CRRT, HFOV, and iNO are performed.
• Offer ongoing shift availability and work 12-hour shifts.
