About The Position
We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in Owatonna, MN. This role involves providing 24-hour call coverage in a hospital setting for newborns and pediatric patients. The average daily census is low, with 1-5 newborns and 0-2 pediatric patients. Responsibilities include rounding, returning to the hospital for urgent needs, coordinating transfers to Abbott Northwestern Hospital for critically ill patients, providing neonatal resuscitation and stabilization, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Active MN license
- NRP certification
- Pediatric Hospitalist experience
- Will accept FM with strong PEDS experience
Responsibilities
- Round on an average of 1-5 newborns and 0-2 pediatric patients daily
- Return to the hospital for urgent needs such as sick newborns, deliveries requiring neonatal resuscitation, and pediatric admissions
- Coordinate transfers of critically ill newborns and pediatric patients to Abbott Northwestern Hospital
- Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization as needed
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure quality care
