About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine-Jacksonville is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Pediatric Hospitalist to join the Division of Hospital Medicine. The Pediatric Inpatient Hospitalist Service at UF Health Jacksonville provides comprehensive, high-quality inpatient care for infants, children, and adolescents requiring hospitalization for acute illness and medical management. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of pediatric hospitalists dedicated to providing patient- and family-centered care while supporting the academic mission of the University of Florida. Faculty works closely with pediatric subspecialists, nursing staff, residents, fellows, medical students, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver coordinated inpatient care and optimize outcomes for hospitalized children. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medical education, quality improvement, and collaborative team-based care. Opportunities are available to participate in teaching, scholarly activity, quality improvement initiatives, and program development within Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The Division of Hospital Medicine plays an integral role in the education of pediatric residents, medical students, and Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellows through bedside teaching, mentorship, and clinical supervision. Faculty are expected to participate in departmental and divisional meetings and may pursue opportunities for involvement in institutional committees, quality and safety initiatives, and other academic activities. This is a non-tenure accruing position at the Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor level, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certified in Pediatrics
  • Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and teamwork

Responsibilities
