About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate Pediatric Home Care RN to provide nursing care to children with special needs and disabilities. This specific role involves caring for an 8-year-old female client in the Fort Mill/Tega Cay area who has a TBI and seizure disorder. The client is non-verbal, uses a G-Tube for fluids, eats by mouth, and requires assistance with all ADLs. The schedule is flexible, 3-4 days a week. Axcess is a home care provider servicing children across South Carolina, contracted with Community Long Term Care and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.

Requirements

• Active RN license to practice in SC
• One year of clinical experience
• Annual TB tests (Axcess covers the cost if expired)
• Current CPR certification (Axcess can direct to training sites if expired)
• Pass a background (SLED) check
• Pass a drug test
• Physically able to provide care to a child with special needs
• Valid driver's license and insured transportation

Responsibilities

• Medication administration
• Catheter care
• Tracheostomy care
• Wound care
• Ventilator care
• Assistance with ADLs
• Accompanying parents to appointments and therapies
• Assisting with light housekeeping and laundry
