Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of gastrointestinal and liver pathology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology certification is required, AP-only or AP/CP. American Board of Pathology certification or eligibility in Pediatric Pathology is preferred. Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows. Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the GI/Liver pathology service. Coverage of additional pathology subspecialties and night/weekend call will also be considered. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of an independent or highly collaborative research program (as PI, Co-PI or Co-I) in the area of GI/liver pathology. Applicants who are mid-career are encouraged to apply. The position will be based within the Division of Anatomic Pathology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Applicants may be involved in administrative and leadership responsibilities.
