About The Position

Children's Hospital of Michigan, a cornerstone of pediatric medicine since 1886 and the first and largest children's hospital in the state, is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist Physician. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is an expansive, well-resourced team with an ACGME-accredited fellowship program and deep subspecialty breadth spanning IBD, liver transplant, advanced endoscopy, and motility. The physician will join six board-certified gastroenterologists, a dedicated hepatologist, NPs, clinical nurses, and dietitians in a collaborative infrastructure built to support excellent clinical care. This is an opportunity to practice at a nationally recognized program with academic engagement and procedural volume.

Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
  • Eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Michigan.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional training or strong interest in Pediatric Hepatology/Liver Transplant, Advanced Endoscopy, Motility Disorders, or Nutrition.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
  • Perform a full range of endoscopic procedures including capsule endoscopy, pH/impedance monitoring, percutaneous G-tube placement, variceal banding, sclerotherapy, esophageal and anorectal manometry, and breath hydrogen testing.
  • Participate in training GI Fellows, residents, and medical students through an ACGME-accredited fellowship program.
  • Collaborate within integrated programs in IBD, Aerodigestive Disease, Intestinal Rehabilitation, and Pediatric Liver Disease & Transplant.
