About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, in partnership with Texas Children's Hospital, is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Texas Children's Hospital North Austin in Austin, TX. The North Austin campus, opened in 2024, features a 52-bed, 365,000-square-foot inpatient hospital and an adjacent 170,000-square-foot outpatient facility offering a full suite of specialties and subspecialties. This role is primarily clinically focused with a strong emphasis on patient care, contributing to the strategic growth and development of the hospital and its services. The position requires an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to initiate, build, and expand innovative clinical programs. The physician will provide comprehensive care across the full spectrum of gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition in both outpatient/ambulatory and inpatient consultative settings, practicing with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with division physicians and leveraging expertise across system campuses. Responsibilities include performing general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, along with associated interventions.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Fellowship Program in Pediatric Gastroenterology
  • Board certification (or Board eligible) in Pediatric Gastroenterology is required
  • 2+ years of experience in Clinical Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition
