Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician
About The Position
Children's Mercy is seeking physicians who are board certified/eligible in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) to join their team of 30 PEM Faculty. The division offers clinical care in urban and suburban EDs with 110,000 annual visits. They provide double coverage at night, along with support from nurse practitioners, child life specialists, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists. The ED features private exam and trauma rooms, bedside ultrasound, and in-suite radiology/CT with 24-hour pediatric radiology coverage. Requirements
- Board certified/eligible in pediatric emergency medicine (PEM).
- Willingness to be vaccinated for seasonal influenza.
- Willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella).
- Willingness to be vaccinated for tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005.
