About The Position

Inova Children’s Heart Center at Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital is seeking a board-certified advanced practice provider to join its Pediatric Electrophysiology team in a nationally recognized, growing pediatric cardiology program in Northern Virginia. The role is part of a comprehensive congenital heart program providing multidisciplinary care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults with congenital heart disease throughout the Greater Washington region. The Heart Center provides a continuum of pediatric and adult congenital cardiac care and performs approximately 550 cardiac procedures annually. Its electrophysiology program is the largest pediatric and adult congenital heart disease EP program in Northern Virginia, caring for more than 2,500 patients. The team follows nearly 400 children with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators and approximately 250 patients in its channelopathy program. It performs 180–200 procedures annually, including electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, and device implantations, using technologies such as conduction system pacing, leadless pacemakers, and subcutaneous ICD systems. Procedures take place in a biplane EP laboratory equipped with CARTO and EnSite three-dimensional mapping systems. The EP team includes a dedicated advanced practice provider specializing in pediatric electrophysiology who oversees remote device monitoring and assists with Holter monitor interpretation. The broader program includes a cardiogenetics clinic and dedicated pediatric cardiovascular genetic counselors, with coordinated evaluation and care for inherited arrhythmia and cardiomyopathy syndromes. The program also partners with adult cardiac services to support referrals, family screening, and care across the lifespan.
