About The Position

Our patients are our number one priority! We're committed to giving children back their childhood! This role functions as a core clinical provider within the Pediatric Developmental Disabilities multidisciplinary team to establish diagnoses and manage comprehensive, ongoing care for children with complex neurodevelopmental and chronic health conditions. The provider will order and review routine diagnostic studies and laboratory tests under physician oversight to provide comprehensive workup, care coordination, and non-operative management of children with neurodevelopmental complexities. Additionally, the provider will engage in specialized training to directly administer and interpret neurodevelopmental assessments. The role involves balancing the completion of comprehensive clinic notes that capture patient complexity with the necessary behind-the-scenes administrative work, including Letters of Medical Necessity (LMNs) and state support forms, required to advocate for and secure patient services. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is essential to ensure continuity of care and facilitate connections with specialized community, educational, and state resources for children with special health care needs. The provider will act as a resource navigator by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of community, state, and digital support systems for children with complex needs. The role also engages in clinical research and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based care within the division, translating these insights into high-quality care for patients and families. Participation in mortality and morbidity conferences, and performance improvement activities focused on access to care and complex care delivery is expected. The provider will demonstrate clinical leadership by mentoring multidisciplinary team members, modeling professional resilience, and actively contributing to divisional advocacy and quality improvement initiatives. Educational activities of the Hospital such as case conferences, symposia, and professional educational meetings will also be part of the role.
