About The Position

A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental practice with locations in Cartersville, Dalton, Decatur, East Point, and Hiram. We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. Requirements

Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution
Active state dental license in Georgia
Experience in Pediatric dentistry
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience with dental software and technology
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality of medical records

Nice To Haves

Any General Dentistry experience is a plus!
Continuing education in dentistry is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform dental exams, cleanings, and preventive treatments (e.g., fluoride treatments, sealants) for children
Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and early orthodontic issues
Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices and nutrition
Monitor dental growth and development in pediatric patients
Provide restorative treatments including fillings, crowns, and extractions
Administer local anesthesia and, when necessary, sedation for procedures
Manage dental emergencies (e.g., trauma, tooth pain)
Work with children who may be anxious, fearful, or have special healthcare needs
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals
