About The Position

We're excited to welcome a positive, upbeat, friendly, skilled and motivated full-time Pediatric Dentist to our growing team in East Point, GA! A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental practice with locations in Cartersville, Dalton, Decatur, East Point, and Hiram. We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. We proudly serve both pediatric and adult patients, and we're committed to creating a welcoming environment and delivering an outstanding, memorable experience for every patient. Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active state dental license in Georgia
  • Experience in Pediatric dentistry
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience with dental software and technology
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
  • Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality of medical records

Nice To Haves

  • Any General Dentistry experience is a plus!
  • Continuing education in dentistry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform dental exams, cleanings, and preventive treatments (e.g., fluoride treatments, sealants) for children
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and early orthodontic issues
  • Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices and nutrition
  • Monitor dental growth and development in pediatric patients
  • Provide restorative treatments including fillings, crowns, and extractions
  • Administer local anesthesia and, when necessary, sedation for procedures
  • Manage dental emergencies (e.g., trauma, tooth pain)
  • Work with children who may be anxious, fearful, or have special healthcare needs
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals
