About The Position

Pediatric Dentist or General Dentist (Limited to Pediatrics) – Part-Time (2–3 Days/Week) Meridian, Idaho Join two well-established, patient-focused pediatric dental practices in the rapidly growing Treasure Valley area: Idaho Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics and The Kids Dentist. We are seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Pediatric Dentist or General Dentist with a focus on pediatric care to join our team 2–3 days per week. About the Practices Idaho Kids Dentistry & Orthodontics provides comprehensive pediatric dental and orthodontic services, serving children and teens with a strong emphasis on quality care and patient experience. The Kids Dentist is dedicated to delivering individualized, comfortable, and educational dental care for children, helping build lifelong healthy habits. Both offices emphasize a positive, kid-friendly atmosphere and comprehensive pediatric services, including preventive, restorative, and sedation dentistry. Requirements

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of a Pediatric Dentistry residency (preferred) OR significant experience treating pediatric patients
  • Active and unrestricted Idaho dental license (or ability to obtain)
  • Nitrous oxide certification (required)
  • Experience with sedation and pediatric behavior management techniques preferred
  • Strong communication skills with both children and parents
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients (infants, children, and adolescents)
  • Perform exams, diagnoses, and treatment planning
  • Deliver preventive and restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.)
  • Perform pediatric dental procedures, including pulp therapy and extractions
  • Administer or oversee nitrous oxide and/or general anesthesia as appropriate
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Create a positive, comfortable, and engaging experience for children
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with all regulations
