About The Position

A growing, pediatric-focused dental practice in Bakersfield, California, is seeking a friendly and compassionate General Dentist to provide general dental care to pediatric patients in a child-friendly setting. The opportunity is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, and new graduates are welcome. Previous experience treating children is a plus but is not required. The practice refers complex specialty procedures to appropriate providers so the dentist can focus on pediatric general dentistry.

Compensation starts at $800–$1,100 per day, with flexibility based on experience. The dentist begins on a daily guarantee and may transition to a percentage-of-production model after an initial period. Rotating dental assistants provide chairside support. The practice has six current team members, with additional hiring underway; four treatment rooms; six open-bay hygiene chairs; and uses Open Dental. The patient base is primarily Medi-Cal, with some PPO patients and no HMO.

Full-time hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. Part-time scheduling is flexible, ideally Monday–Tuesday or Thursday–Friday, from 9:00 AM–5:30 PM on scheduled days. A 401(k) is available after an initial period of employment; additional benefits may be introduced as the practice grows.
