About The Position

Great Expressions Dental Centers is hiring a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused Temporary Pediatric Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and helping them feel comfortable during dental visits. The role supports pediatric dental procedures and clinical workflow in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The assignment runs from November 12, 2026, through February 4, 2027. The schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and two Saturdays per month. The assistant must travel between the Miramar and Coral Springs offices; mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Requirements

Previous dental assisting experience.
A friendly, patient, and compassionate approach when working with children and families.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced dental environment.
Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between the assigned offices.
Active Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
X-Rays certification.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric dental experience.
Familiarity with dental software and technology.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and help ensure smooth clinical workflow.
Help children feel comfortable and safe throughout their dental visits.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance to patients and their parents or guardians.
Anticipate the dentist’s needs and provide support during procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and follow all infection control and safety protocols.
Perform permitted dental assisting duties in accordance with applicable regulations.
