About The Position
Southmoor Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join its team. The practice provides dental care in a welcoming, child-friendly environment and is committed to training the right person, including candidates just starting in the field. The assistant supports dentists and patient families, helps maintain patient comfort and oral health, and contributes to smooth daily clinical operations. The position is Monday through Friday, with no evenings, holidays, or weekends. The primary locations are Denver and Centennial. The stated pay range is $20–$24.
Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Dental Assistant status and two years of experience are preferred.
- Previous dental experience is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments before patient appointments.
- Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and helping ensure patient comfort.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental tools and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and guardians about oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials.
- Follow body motion and ergonomics best practices to support personal health and safety during clinical tasks.
