The Pediatric Dental Assistant at Main Street is a highly energetic, compassionate, and patient-focused clinical professional who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Under the direct supervision of the partner doctors, the Pediatric Dental Assistant delivers high-quality clinical support and patient/parent education, ensuring exceptional care and clinic efficiency even during peak operational hours. As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Requirements

Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
X-Ray certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
