PNP or PA FT position available with 13hr rotating shifts with day/night/weekend/holidays The division of Pediatric Critical Care is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary Pediatric Critical Care team.This position involves a primary clinical appointment in the Pediatric Cardiac Care Center. Additional clinical opportunities caring for pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and pediatric sedation service, as assigned. The APP will work closely with pediatric intensivists, cardiologists, surgeons, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive care to patients with complex medical conditions. Key responsibilities include clinical evaluation and management of critically ill pediatric patients, development and implementation of treatment plans, and performance of procedures. The APP will participate in multidisciplinary rounds, contribute to care coordination, and assist in the management of both acute and chronic conditions. A central component of this role is supporting families through complex and often stressful medical situations. The APP will communicate treatment plans clearly, address questions and concerns, and provide compassionate guidance throughout the patient’s course of care. The APP will also contribute academically by participating in the education of APP students, residents, and fellows. The APP will have opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to unit-based and hospital-wide committees and project teams. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and demonstrates strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a high acuity environment. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, enthusiasm for continuous learning, and the ability to work effectively within a team-based care model.
