About The Position
This is an immediate caregiver opportunity for individuals dedicated to making a difference through compassionate care. The role serves Springfield, MO, and surrounding areas, with part-time evening hours available. The position involves providing essential support to special needs children through the Healthy Children and Youth program. Caregivers will have the advantage of working with a select group of clients, offering control over their schedule and travel time. This role allows for one-on-one connections with clients and providing them with exceptional care.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
- Ability to lift 50 LBS.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (Bathing, Dressing, Grooming)
- Provide Companionship and Emotional Support
- Support Clients with Higher Acuity Needs, Including: Transfers (use of gait belts, Hoyer lifts, etc.)
- Feeding Assistance & Meal Preparation
- Monitoring and Reporting Changes in Condition
- Light Housekeeping
- Medication Reminders
- Running errands
