Overview To provide high quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Cardiologist. Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 5-7 years experience pediatric echocardiographic imaging with documented experience in a pediatric tertiary facility may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • One of the following required upon hire: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer
  • Employees must obtain Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS) or equivalent within 365 days
  • Employees must obtain Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer or equivalent within 365 days
  • Current BLS certification Required Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Perform Pediatric Echocardiography on patients in age from newborns to adults
  • Provide care with consideration of patient?s age, diagnosis, psycho-social characteristics and family stressors that affect ability to understand or retain instructions. Maintain service excellence in all aspects of echo lab operations.
  • Maintain efficient operations of the Echo Lab
  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and learning
  • Participate in performance improvement activities designed to improve patient care and/or organizational processes
