About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology at Children’s Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Fellowship-trained Anesthesiologist with a specialty in cardiac anesthesia to join their perioperative team. The Section of Pediatric Anesthesiology provides care to over 30,000 children annually in perioperative anesthesia, critical care, and pain medicine settings. Pediatric anesthesiologists practice in a collaborative and supportive environment with world-class surgical and medical staff, offering opportunities for developing clinical excellence in various subspecialty services. These roles are integral to the academic, research, educational, and quality improvement missions of the institutions.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
  • Unrestricted State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to cardiac and perioperative team members to optimize patient care safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with world-class pediatric physicians and medical staff on a range of complex cases.
  • Contribute to the clinical education of pediatric fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees.
  • Focus on a patient-centered approach to delivery of care and engage in a climate of inquiry and safety.
  • Participate in the academic, research, and educational missions of the institution.
  • Build positive relationships with surgeons, proceduralists, nurses, technicians, and other stakeholders.
