The Division of Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) is seeking a pediatric bone marrow transplant specialist to serve as Section Chief of the BMT/cellular therapy program at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. This role involves clinical leadership for the bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy team and programs, participation in and leadership for clinical and quality improvements, support in faculty career development, and the provision of excellent clinical care to patients referred to the BMT/cellular therapy service. Candidates interested in building and/or maintaining a successful basic or translational research program focused on high impact immunotherapy/transplant will receive support. Clinical responsibilities will include shared clinic, inpatient, and call responsibilities. Protected time and support for program leadership and research will be provided by the Department of Pediatrics and the Children’s Mercy Research Institute. The academic appointment will be at the associate or full professor level commensurate upon a candidate’s qualifications.
