About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Allergy Nurse to join our dynamic, fast-paced clinical team. This role involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients with allergic and immunologic conditions across multiple satellite locations. Requirements

• Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
• Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required
• Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
• Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 Years of RN Strongly Preferred
• Pediatric and Acute Experience Preferred
• Strong clinical skills in acute pediatric nursing preferred
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based, and fast-paced environment

• Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct oral food challenges and drug challenges
• Perform skin prick and intradermal allergy testing
• Administer biologic therapies and monitor patient response
• Manage environmental allergen immunotherapy and oral immunotherapy treatments
• Provide comprehensive patient and family education
• Perform phone triage and address patient and parent concerns
• Complete prior authorizations and assist with care coordination
• Interpreting the plan of medical care
• Assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care
• Assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner
• Providing individualized nursing care
• Evaluating nursing care for groups of patients
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
