About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) trainee will function as a learner and in a supportive role in the cardiac intensive care unit and cardiac step-down unit. This provider must work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in all phases of practice. Mentored clinical practice experiences will occur in the acute care setting. The APP Trainee will gain experience within a specialty practice and progress from a learner status to a credentialed member of the Interdisciplinary team within six months of their start date.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a pediatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
  • Must attain national certification as a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
  • Compact State RN license (for APRN).
  • DE APRN License (for APRN).
  • Delaware CSR (for APRN and PA).
  • Delaware DEA (for APRN and PA).
  • DE State Licensure (for PA).
  • Certification and all licensure should be completed by 4 months.
