This position requires a capable candidate to prepare the peat moss for the growing houses. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Able to take directions
  • Available 6 days per week at 9 or more hours per day
  • Must be able to drive a truck with standard transmission
  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving history
  • Always required to speak and comprehend English, Spanish or both.
  • Always required to sit, stand or walk.
  • Always required to see with or without corrective lenses.
  • Frequently required to utilize fine motor coordination in hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 10 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to balance, stoop or crouch.
  • Occasionally required to climb stairs.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and secure peat moss building
  • Keep area around the peat moss shed clean of debris
  • Must maintain adequate supply of peat moss and lime
  • Ability to monitor hours and days off efficiently
  • Maintain and supply salt to the softeners
  • Ensure CAC is available for the following business day
  • Provides accountability and direction to Management for Company - Employee Interaction.
  • Ability to train new employees
  • Oversee the peat moss process
  • Oversee all the peat moss personnel
  • Ensure that all peat moss practices are followed at all times
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of all peat moss staff under his / her supervision
  • Ensure that follow up and / or discipline is implemented as per company policy
  • Record water usage and bales for all mixers
