About The Position

As an NBCUniversal Academic Year intern, individuals will work on real projects, contribute to meaningful work, and build skills over two full semesters. The program emphasizes impact, learning, and growth in media, entertainment, and technology. The Media Group at NBCU supports consumer-first brands like Peacock, NBC, Bravo, NBC Sports, and NBCU International, focusing on collaboration, innovation, and consumer experience, all within a culture of respect and authenticity. Areas of placement may include Audience Development, supporting audience engagement and executing cross-channel campaigns across email, mobile, Vertical Video, and Mini Games for brands like Peacock, NBC, Bravo, and Telemundo. Another area is Direct to Consumer, Revenue Growth & Monetization, where interns support the development and implementation of revenue-generating sponsorship campaigns across Peacock, TV Everywhere, and social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027)
  • December 2026 graduates are not eligible for this Academic Year Internship Program
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship
  • Must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Knowledge of digital/streaming trends and technologies with emphasis on advertising
  • Familiarity with Peacock and social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Snapchat
  • Avid television and film enthusiast
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Thrive in highly collaborative environments
  • High attention to detail and time management when executing campaigns
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in email and mobile marketing (CRM) and/or digital content operations
  • Familiarity with tools such as Airtable or marketing platforms (e.g., Braze) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support audience engagement across the NBCUniversal portfolio, including Peacock, NBC, Bravo, and Telemundo
  • Execute cross-channel campaigns across email and mobile (push notifications and in-product messaging)
  • Support emerging engagement formats such as Vertical Video and Mini Games
  • Support the development and implementation of revenue generating sponsorship campaigns spanning Peacock, TV Everywhere, and social media platforms
