About The Position

St. Bernard of Clairvaux, a PreK-8th grade elementary school, is seeking an Athletic Director/PE Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves managing all aspects of the school's athletic program while also teaching Physical Education to students in grades PK-8. The position reports directly to the principal.

Requirements

• Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCB ED.
• Experience teaching PE/athletics at the elementary/middle school level.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Catholic school.
• Experience as an Athletic Director at the middle school level.

Responsibilities

• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Provide leadership, oversight, and management of all aspects of the athletic program.
• Promote the role of athletics in the overall program of student formation.
• Oversee the procurement and organization of all athletic equipment and storage spaces.
• Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers and administration regarding the athletic program.
• Attend all Diocesan Athletic Director meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
